Berlin/London, 14.05.2013. nugg.ad, Europe’s leading targeting and brand solution specialist, welcomes Richard Metcalf as the Director of Mobile Solutions to its London office. With the new appointment, nugg.ad is keeping ahead of current developments in the online advertising market – particularly in the mobile and data segments. nugg.ad is working intensively on expanding its various targeting solutions on an international scale and on constant improvement of its algorithms. Europe’s largest targeting platform is well prepared for future business from a staffing perspective too.
Richard Metcalf is a mobile veteran. With 12 years of experience in the industry at companies including Minick, the MIG and Joule, Metcalf has deep knowledge of the mobile advertising market. As Director of Mobile Products, he will be based in the London office, with responsibility for business development of nugg.ad Mobile Solutions across the European market. The current growth of mobile devices means that merchants and advertisers need solutions for precise audience targeting in this area.
Metcalf will support international customers in his role as advisor and product manager and is delighted to join nugg.ad especially at this time: “It is apparent that big brands such as those in automotive and FMCG verticals insist on quality audiences for reach and frequency as well as being able to measure campaign success using metrics such as brand awareness, brand affinity and purchase intent. nugg.ad’s solutions meet these demands. nugg.ad welcomes three more new faces in its German headquarters. The Berlin office will be boosted by the appointment of Djork-Arné Clevert. A bioinformatics post-graduate, Clevert boasts a long career at the renowned Johannes-Kepler University in Linz, and the Berlin Charité. During his scientific career, the researcher – who has received several awards – has achieved an international reputation for the algorithms he has applied in the context of bioinformatics. He has the technical expertise to develop new machine-learning methods in-house, as well as intensifying cooperation with Prof. Tobias Scheffer from the University of Potsdam. Besides Djork-Arné Clevert, graduate mathematician Sea Ah Yang has been providing comprehensive support since the beginning of the year to the statistics team led by Anna Cremers, Director of Statistics & Insights.
Another new face at the nugg.ad office in Berlin is Mareike Oetting, with responsibility for press relations at a national and international level. From now on she will support the marketing team, led by Ilana Rolef, Marketing and Communications Director. Previously, Mareike Oetting has been involved with various European Commission communication campaigns, and has many years of experience in PR agency work.
