Berlin, November 5th 2009: Karim H. Attia, co-founder of the leading online agency XENION, is investing in AG through his holding company and will become a new board member at Europe’s largest targeting platform. After a sabbatical year and voluntary work, Attia signalled his return to the online marketing business by joining existing members Stephan Noller and Klaus Kögler on the board, where he will use his new position to promote digital target group marketing as a basis for the next generation of online branding. Attia, who was born in 1968 in Hamburg, is the spokesman and co-founder of FOMA, the association of the German Online Media Agencies, and is also active in various committees of the BVDW, AGOF and IVW.

After studying information technology, Karim H. Attia began his career in 1989 as a consultant for database and direct marketing within BBDO. From 1989 to 2008, he co-founded the online marketing agency XENION, which he assisted in becoming one of the market leaders in Germany. With the takeover of XENION by the Aegis Media Gruppe in 2004, he went on to co-found the associated digital network Isobar which he helped to build up, as member of the Isobar global management team in central and eastern Europe.
